Did you miss our live review of January’s Patch Tuesday updates? No problem.
In this webinar, we discuss the latest vulnerabilities identified in the last Patch Tuesday roundup. As we discuss in our January 2020 Patch Tuesday Breakdown blog, this month is relatively light in terms of quantity, but there are some substantial threats getting addressed this month – including a critical spoofing vulnerability getting special attention from the National Security Agency (NSA).
Microsoft's first update for 2020 includes fixes for 49 security vulnerabilities, eight of which are rated “Critical.” Also, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 are receiving their last free patches this month as support from Microsoft will be discontinued. Adobe has also issued critical security updates –and Mozilla has released a fix for a zero-day vulnerability in the Mozilla Firefox web browser. To see a full index of the major patches released this month, see our January 2020 Patch Tuesday Index that provides direct access to the identified CVEs.
We discuss all these topics and more in our latest Patch Tuesday webinar. As a bonus, we also introduce a new series of Automox Worklets designed to boost your cyber hygiene and prevent and mitigate real-world threats identified through the MITRE ATT&CK framework. We showcase our first worklet in the series that sets password policies according to the Center for Internet Security (CIS) recommendations.
